Sergey Anatolyevich Pozdnykov was born in 1958. He graduated from Petrozavodsk State University in Russia. He is a PhD in Biology (zoologist and ecologist). He has worked in protection of Russian environment for more that 30 years. He is an associated member of the Centre of Russian Environmental Policy. He is the author of more than 50 scientific papers. Research interests : mammals population ecology, human environmental impact evaluation, natural resources management, survival principals and the Homo Sapiens development.

Sustainable development: general issues on controlled human psychogenesis

The idea of the sustainable development that appeared after the Rio Conference was a new stage of a human development. Its main task, according to V. Zakharov`s definition, «is to include constantly increasing human needs in his habitat opportunities».
