World Environment Day

05
June 2020

World Environment Day (WED) is celebrated every year on 5 June to raise global awareness to take positive environmental action to protect nature and the planet Earth. It is one of the main ways for environmental activists to raise public awareness of environmental problems and encourage political interest in protecting the environment. WED was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1972 to mark the opening of the Stockholm Conference on the Human Environment. The Day’s main aim is to encourage every person to care for the environment.
