World Animal Day

Mission of the World Animal Day is to raise the status of animals by creating conscious and awakened relationship between animals and their owners in order to prevent increasing of homeless animals caused by uncontrolled breeding of domestic dogs and cats The first law concerning animal cruelty was adopted in the UK. This happened in 1822. The most favorable conditions for the animals can be found in Austria, where the law prohibits ‘inter alia’ cutting off the dog's tail and ears, using of wild animals in circuses, selling puppies and kittens in the windows of pet stores and so on.
