International Day of the Girl Child

11
October 2020

International Day of the Girl Child was established by the United Nations on 11 October 2012. The goal of the day is to raise public awareness of gender-related social problems and inequality that girls experience around the world. These problems include access to education, adequate nourishment, medical care, social rights, and freedom from discrimination, violence and coerced marriage at an early age.
